Are you a postpartum doula passionate about nurturing new families through the fourth trimester? Do you love helping parents feel rested, confident, and cared for during the most vulnerable weeks of their parenting journey? Do you have regular availability for overnight care?

We’re Detroit Dreams Tonight, and we’re seeking incredible overnight postpartum doulas to support families across Wayne and Macomb Counties, including Grosse Pointe, St. Clair Shores, Mt. Clemens, Sterling Heights, and Clinton Township.

 
 

We’ve seen a huge rise in inquiries lately—especially from families using Carrot Fertility benefits, which means they’re ready to invest in postpartum support and are looking for trusted, qualified doulas now.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • We handle the admin, marketing, and initial client communication.

  • We send you curated client leads that are looking for the kind of support you provide and whose budget aligns with what you charge (yes, you can set your own rates!). We have a steady stream of local families in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties looking for professional, nurturing care.

  • Flexible schedules: you choose the shifts that work for you and we match you with clients that fit your ideal availability. Note, that we have the highest demand for overnight visits across all of SE Michigan.

  • Ongoing support and mentorship from a team of experienced doulas who understand the work.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking professional, experienced, and nurturing postpartum doulas who love caring for families and newborns.

You’re a great fit if:

  • You live in or are happy to travel to Grosse Pointe, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, Mt. Clemens, Harper Woods, or Clinton Township.

  • You have experience supporting families postpartum and are confident caring for newborns.

  • You’re reliable, respectful, trauma-informed, and know how to walk into a home and bring a sense of calm with you.

  • You’re CPR certified (or willing to get certified ASAP) and ready to support.

  • You have professional liability insurance (or are willing to get it).

Bonus if you’re already qualified and familiar with Carrot Fertility reimbursements, but we’ll provide guidance on that too.
